Adding a Dependent
Create a profile for someone you care for who won't have their own account - like a young child or an elderly parent.

A dependent profile is a full Mediphant profile for someone you care for who won't manage their own account - a young child, an elderly parent, anyone whose health you help coordinate. The health details belong to them; you stay the accessor for uploads and account actions.

Create a profile for someone you care for who won't have their own Mediphant account.
You'll find this option under “Grow your Family.”
Creating a dependent profile, step by step

Start from Circles or Home
Open Manage Circles from your account menu and tap Add Dependent. Or, from Home, tap the + in “Your care circle” and choose Add a dependent under the Grow your Family heading.

Enter their name
The Add a Dependent sheet asks for a first and last name. That's all it takes to start - tap Create Profile.

Set up their profile
Mediphant walks you through a short setup: Basics, Name, Handle, Location, Photo. Choose their @handle carefully - it can't be changed afterwards. Add a photo so their profile is easy to spot at a glance.

Start building their record
Their profile now appears as a card on your Home screen and under “Your Dependents” on the Circles page. Swipe to their card and upload their documents, record voice notes, and chat with their Elly - everything works just like your own profile.
How dependents work
You're the accessor
You handle uploads and account actions on their behalf - the health details belong to them.
Their own care circle
Each dependent has their own circle. Invite other family members so care is shared, not siloed.
Their own Elly
Elly answers questions about their records specifically - “When was her last tetanus shot?”
Dependent profiles can't be added as accessors to someone else's circle - only primary account holders can be granted access. A dependent is someone care is managed for, not a login.
